Clearances

I've been working on legal and medical clearances for the last few days. I went into town today during my time off and had my fingerprints done. Unfortunately, the post office was only open until 1:00 pm, and so I couldn't send them today. Thankfully, my parents had driven down to meet me to give my car back (it's been in the shop), so they are going to mail it for me tomorrow.

Speaking of my parents, they are so fabulous. My dad has done all of this research for me on the cost of the vaccines I'm going to need, comparing our insurance company, the health department, Walgreen's, and other places to find the best price for me. He has been such a blessing during this time. Since I'm working at a summer camp, I have very, very little time off during the day, and when I do have off is usually not during business hours. This makes it difficult to call and make appointments, but it makes it even more difficult if I can't call the insurance company first before I do the rest of my research online. My dad has been spending some of his time off, as little as it is during the day as well, calling these people for me and finding out everything I need to know. And my mom? Well she's to best mom anyone could ever ask for. She's been such a great emotional support during all of this. Having worked in a daycare for as long as she did, she kind of understands the struggles I'm going through at camp. Plus she's mentally preparing herself and me for when I actually leave in just over 150 days. She's been looking for things I'll need in Uganda basically since I applied, and I love her to death for it.

Basically, my parents rock. Thus, I'm dedicating this post to them. I love you guys. <3
